Sample packs

Settings ▸ Downloads ▸ Sample Packs installs free sample packs: drum kits, a TR-808, sampled basses, guitars, pianos, horns and more. Every pack is licensed for any music, commercial releases included.

Installing

Section titled “Installing”

Filter by All, One-shots, Instruments or Installed and search by name. Each row says what the pack is (one-shots, loops, instrument, mixed), who made it (Credit) and its size.

  • Install — downloads the pack from its author’s own page, checks it against the registry’s checksum and unpacks only the samples and their docs. Nota checks there is room first.
  • Update to … — when a newer version is out.
  • Show — opens the pack’s folder; Source — the pack’s page.
  • Remove — deletes the pack’s folder.

Packs go into a Downloaded folder inside your Samples folder, so they show up in the browser’s Files tab — and are analysed first by Smart samples.

Nota Kits

The one-shots of the 25 factory drum kits are synthesised on first launch (not shipped as audio) and appear in the Files tab under Nota Kits, ready to drag anywhere a sample goes.
