Nota EQ-3

Nota EQ-3 is a performance EQ, the kind on a DJ mixer: three bands, a fader and a Kill each. Pull the bass out before a drop and slam it back in, thin a breakdown, swap the low end between two tracks.

Control What it does
Low · Mid · High A fader per band: −24 … +6 dB in the Isolator range, ±15 dB in Classic
Kill Removes the band completely — with a short fade, so it never clicks
Crossover The two split points (Low / Mid and Mid / High); drag the handles along the top of the graph
Slope LR 24 or LR 48 — how steep the split is
Range Isolator (the default) or Classic
Out Output level

At 0 dB on every band the three bands add back up flat — the split is phase-aligned. The window shows each band’s curve in its colour, the sum in brass and the output spectrum behind.

30 factory presets: starts (Classic Flat, Isolator 48), kills and isolations (DJ Kill Bass, Kill Mids, Kill Highs, Bass Swap, Bass Only, Mids Only, Highs Only), transitions (Transition Build, Breakdown Thin), curves (Scoop, Smile, Bass Boost, Warm Up, Air Lift, Presence), focus (Sub Tighten, Mud Cut, Vocal Focus, Kick Focus, Hat Sizzle, Club Master) and colour (Telephone, AM Radio, Lo-Fi Dull, Megaphone).

  • Automate the kills: draw a Low Kill for the last bar before a drop.
  • Map the faders to a controller with MIDI Learn and play it like a DJ mixer.
