Nota Reverb

Nota Reverb puts a sound in a space — from a tight room to a cathedral, from a bright plate to an endless frozen wash. It’s the reverb to reach for first; for convolution and hybrid spaces see Nota Chamber.

Layout: the Tail column on the left (Decay, HF Damp), a centre panel with two tabs over a live window of the decay tail, a right panel (Levels / Output) and a status line. The tail window is a control: drag the pre-delay marker, drag the tail to set the decay.

Control What it does
Mode Hall, Room, Plate or Chamber
Pre Pre-delay — the gap before the reverb starts
Size The size of the space
Diffuse How dense the reflections get
Early reflections The first, distinct echoes of the room
Decay Reverb time, as a true RT60
HF Damp How fast the highs die away

Low cut and High cut shape the reverb’s tone, Width its stereo spread. Mod rate and Mod depth add a chorus-like shimmer — on the whole reverb, or only the tail (Mod on tail). Vintage gives it the band-limited, grainy colour of early digital reverbs.

Dry, Mix (dry / wet), Width, Mono f (bass mono below a frequency), Wet only (for a return track), Out, and Latency comp. — starts the tail exactly where the pre-delay says. Freeze holds the tail forever (the input is muted); Kill tail clears what’s ringing.

30 factory presets: rooms (Small Room, Tight Room, Drum Room, Vocal Booth, Live Room), halls (Wide Hall, Long Hall, Concert Hall, Cathedral, Dark Hall), plates (Bright Plate, Vocal Plate, Snare Plate, Gold Plate, Vintage Plate), chambers (Echo Chamber, Studio Chamber, Stone Chamber), ambient and frozen (Shimmer Freeze, Stone Hold, Infinite Pad, Ambient Wash, Still Water, Lo-Fi Cloud, Seasick), short (Short Burst, Slap Space) and for returns (Send · Hall, Send · Plate, Send · Room).

  • On a return: put Reverb on a return track with Wet only on, and send each track to it.
  • Keep the low end clean: raise Low cut so the reverb doesn’t muddy the bass.
