Macros
Every rack — Instrument Rack, Drum Rack and Audio Effect Rack — and Nota Rhythm has eight macros: named knobs that drive any parameters inside, so one knob can open every snare and clap reverb at once, or morph a whole layered patch.
Reading a macro
Section titled “Reading a macro”Each macro shows its value in brass, its name, and — in teal — where it goes (“→ Reverb · Snare, Clap”). An unassigned macro is an empty, dashed cell.
Mapping
Section titled “Mapping”- Select a macro.
- Press Map and pick the target: a pad’s own controls (Volume, Pan, Tune, Decay), a parameter of a chain’s instrument, or of any of its effects.
- Repeat to add more receivers.
The selected macro’s receivers are listed with their range as a teal band and the current value as a brass tick — drag the band’s ends to set the range each receiver covers. In the Instrument and Audio Effect racks, mappings can follow Linear, Exp, Log or S curves.
Right-click a macro to see its receivers and ranges, Rename it, or Clear it. Factory kits load with their own macros (Tune, Decay, Hats, Drive / Tape, Room, Echo, 808 / Sub — as the kit has them).
Controlling macros
Section titled “Controlling macros”Macros are parameters like any other: automate them, map them to a controller with MIDI Learn, or play them from your phone’s Macros screen in Nota Remote.
