Nota Forge

Nota Forge is three saturators in one — tape, tube, diode, fuzz, folding — that you can stack, blend, split into mid and side, or give each a frequency band.

Nota Forge: routing and the three stages, the transfer curve and harmonics, the stage shapeNota Forge: routing and the three stages, the transfer curve and harmonics, the stage shape
Routing How the three stages combine
Serial 1 → 2 → 3
Parallel All three from the same input, averaged
M/S Stage 1 on the mid, stage 2 on the side, stage 3 on the recombined stereo
Multi Stage 1 on the lows (under 180 Hz), stage 2 the mids, stage 3 the highs (over 2.4 kHz) — a stage that’s off lets its band through clean

On the left, each stage has its on dot, its type, its role in the routing, an output trim (drag the dB), Drive and a teal Feedback. Click a stage to edit its shape on the right: Bias (asymmetry — even harmonics), Tone (a ±12 dB tilt after it) and Width (its stereo image, 0–200 %).

Amount (drive into the chain), Wet and Out over the transfer curve — the whole device, each stage faintly, the LFO-modulated curve dashed — and the harmonics of a −6 dB sine with its THD. Drag the node on the curve for Amount.

LFO → Drive (free or synced, with Rate) makes the drive breathe; Env → Tone opens the tone as the signal gets louder. Oversample reduces aliasing on hard settings.

32 factory presets: warmth (Cabinet Heat, Tape Glue, Tube Warmth, Console Bus, Vocal Silk, Bass Weight, Parallel Warmth, Warm Master), drive (Diode Crunch, Amp Stack, Guitar Edge, Snare Crack, Fuzz Wall, Digital Hard Clip, Broken Speaker, Feedback Scream), folding (Fold Bells, Wavefolder Synth), bus and parallel (Drum Glue, NY Drums, Bass Parallel Grit), mid / side (Wide Air, Mono Grit Core, Side Sizzle), multiband (Multiband Drive, Low-End Only, Presence Lift) and motion (Breathing Drive, Wobble Crunch, Envelope Bite, Slow Tide).
