Nota Ceiling

Nota Ceiling makes a track or a master loud without ever going over: nothing passes the Ceiling. It also measures loudness the way streaming services do, so you can tell whether a master is ready to deliver without another plug-in.

Signal flow: Gain drives the signal into the ceiling; a look-ahead lets the gain duck before each peak arrives; release recovers; a final safety clip guarantees no sample passes.

Control What it does
Gain Drives into the limiter — louder means more limiting
Ceiling The maximum output level — drag it on the Level graph
Release · auto release How fast it recovers; auto slows as the reduction deepens
Character Clean, Punch or Glue (with a soft clip)
Look Look-ahead time
Link From a glued centre to independent channels
True Peak Measures inter-sample peaks too, so a DAC or a codec never clips
SC HP Keeps the lows out of the detector, so the bass stops pumping the mix
Delta Hear what the limiter takes away

The detector can also listen to another track (Internal or the device’s sidechain source).

Tab What it shows
Level Input, the part over the ceiling and the output over 4 seconds, with the reduction under it
Reduction The reduction and the transients that reached the clip
Loudness Momentary, short-term and integrated loudness over 60 seconds around the Target — drag it
