Nota Scale

Nota Scale keeps every note in key. Play anything — every key on the keyboard lands on a note of the scale. Handy for jamming, for random and generative parts, and for keeping a controller in key.

Root (the key’s tonic) and the type: Major, Minor, Harm Minor, Dorian, Phryg, Lydian, Mixolyd, Penta, Penta Min, Chromatic or Custom, each with its note count.

The twelve notes as cells: scale notes filled, the root edged, the others saying where they fold. Click a cell to add or remove that note — the type turns Custom. The note sounding now lights up.

Control What it does

Last IN → OUT shows the latest note and where it went.

Auto Shift can copy this device’s key and scale for pitch correction, and the piano roll’s Scale overlay uses the same scales.
