Nota Vintage

Nota Vintage makes things sound old, warm or worn: a dusty record, a stretched cassette, a VHS soundtrack, a tube preamp, a console bus.

Signal flow: wow / flutter → saturation → output stage → tone, head bump and band limit → hiss and crackle → auto gain → mix.

Layout: the State column on the left (Drive and Wear faders), a centre panel with three tabs headed by the character list, a right panel and a status line.

Each character sets its own saturation, tone tilt, head bump, band limit and baseline hiss, crackle and wow: Vinyl, Cassette, Reel-to-Reel, VHS, Tube, Analog. Character off keeps your settings without the era’s voicing.

The transfer curve the saturation runs — Drive pushes it harder. Even harmonics only gives a warm, tube-like colour without grit.

The pitch drift over the last four seconds. Wow (slow, free or synced to the tempo) and Flutter (fast), each with its rate; Wear — an age macro that raises everything at once, and can follow the input; Stereo drift lets the channels wander apart.
